As the summer pushes on into the month of August, New Jersey doesn’t slow its roll on the summer time fun.
Believe it or not, colonial Americans enjoyed ice cream too! The classic summer treat isn’t a new fad, this past weekend in Red Bank a Heritage Sunday event delved into the history of ice cream. In addition to this, visitors discovered how the famous Whitall House of the Battle of Red Bank functioned during the hot months of summer. A combination of ice cream and history is a great way to spend a Sunday with loved ones in the #GardenState.
Further tours, demonstrations, and activities take place at the Whitall House, follow the link to learn about the next Heritage Sunday event: https://www.facebook.com/events/298491737527660/
A fan of races? Well, look no further than the Blue Claw Craft Show! The unique show took place this past Saturday in Harvey Cedars, and it featured blue claw crab races. Not only were there such unique races taking place, but popular crafters from both New Jersey and Pennsylvania came out to set up their shops on the bay.
In addition to these fun New Jersey events, Wildwood celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars with fireworks, the BMX Stunt Show came to Diggerland, and Ocean City supported the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation with their Guts & Glory 5k Run.
